In order to make material progress, human beings have contaminated the environment, creating pollution in the land, seas and air. In a similar way, we have equally polluted our minds by performing countless negative actions. As a result of these actions, we continue to experience problems and suffering.

By realising that our mind has been contaminated by the inner poisons of our negative actions; we have good reason to be afraid, which in turn motivate us to do something about it.
