Hiphongkong highly recommends Lane Crawford at IFC mall D-mop on Kingston street in Causeway bay. In fact all of Kingston street is good. H&M (mostly because the price is right) The little sample shops in Wanchai and in the alleys of Sheung Wan (designer overrun stuff for bargain hunters) Granville Road in TST (Granville circuit) for funky fresh threads that are a steal (you may have to get stuff altered however and most places don't let you try on. My personal faves in the mid-priced range- Zara and French Connection Advanced fashionishtas can try to go to the Sham Shui Po fabric market and make your own stuff. There are some wicked shops on Yu Chau street that sell wholesale accesories like earrings, necklaces bracelets and belts. Where are your favorite places to shop?? BTW here's a link to a great map site about Hong Kong in case your venturing out to Sham Shui Po http://www.ypmap.com/en/viewer.asp?mapService=LocationMap |

I can't stand the crowds in Central and the like, so I opt for online shopping and do it in the comfort of my own home. Back on topic, I frequent www.tarazz.com and use this shopping portal to buy from brand name US/Europe retailers for my skin care and fashion needs. They deal in HKD so no need for paypal and they insure and accept returns, and they deliver on time. For real shopping, I guess it would be Mango and also FW. For value shopping, I would go across the border... |

I usually go to Sai Yeung Choi St in Mong Kok for street shopping. They have all sorts of interesting tidbits there. Unfortunately, it is rather hard to find dresses my size in Hong Kong, so I usually shop at US or UK chains in Pacific Place and TST. @shirleydez, where do you go to get tailor-made clothes across the border? At luohu Mall or somewhere in Shenzhen? Also, I took a look across www.tarazz.com shopping portal, and it looks quite promising and user friendly. I'm thinking of giving nordstrom a try, how long does delivery usually take? And how do they charge shipping? | |||
